MAW 2024 Malnutrition Awareness Weeks 2024

The AKE Best Practice Award (established in 2020) supports applied clinical projects or scientific research in the field of clinical nutritional therapy.

Persons from all professional groups who are active in the field of clinical nutrition in Austria and members of the AKE are entitled to apply.

You can submit your own scientific clinical investigations or results of complete clinical projects in the field of clinical nutritional therapy. Above all, practical relevance in the field of enteral/parenteral nutrition is important to us.

We encourage you to submit a single event, activity, topic, or research paper for the BEST PRACTICE AWARD.

The projects and activities should have been carried out and completed or evaluated in the past 36 months prior to the date of submission. Of course, submissions of small-scale projects are also welcome.

Components of the submission:

  • Title
  • A short introduction (what is the initial situation?)
  • Name and email address of a contact person
  • A brief description of the best practices (max. 300 words)
  • Summary of the outcome or results of the practices
  • All links to relevant additional material, e.g. websites, social media channels, or media

Submissions are only possible via a web form.

The prize will be awarded on the occasion of the annual AKE Autumn Conference.

All projects that meet the criteria will be put to the vote online at the AKE autumn conference. The winners of € 1.500.- each are the first two projects with the most votes.

The AKE will publish selected BEST PRACTICE projects on an online platform in order to promote networking and draw attention to these flagship activities. It is also intended to follow the example of the ONCA (Optimal Nutritional Care for All) network of the European Nutrition for Health Alliance, which operates on a European level.
