KEPAN organised 2nd Clinical Nutrition Congress for Students
The Turkish Clinical Enteral and Parenteral Nutrition Society (KEPAN) organized “2nd Clinical Nutrition Congress for Students” to increase the awareness on malnutrition and the importance of nutrition support among medical, dietetics, pharmacy and nursing students.
The Congress was held in Istanbul, Turkey on dates 13-14 October 2017. The location of the congress was Istanbul University Prof. Aziz Sancar Hall. 364 students participated the Congress from different cities of Turkey.
In 2016, Medical Nutrition International Industry (MNI) has selected the submission of KEPAN’s Clinical Nutrition Congress for Students” Project as the winner of the MNI Grant.
Results
Malnutrition, team approach, basics of parenteral and enteral nutrition were presented by 20 faculty members. Case studies on geriatrics, pediatrics, neurology, intensive care unit and surgery patients were presented by 12 students and discussed with the participants interactively.
