On-Site Activities for Patient Day

On Patient Day during Malnutrition Awareness Week, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, nursing homes, and other healthcare facilities are warmly invited to join the movement against malnutrition by organizing on-site events tailored to their communities. These activities are a valuable way to raise awareness, educate, and engage patients, caregivers, and staff in the importance of nutritional health.

Suggested Activities

Participating facilities can choose from a variety of interactive activities, including:

  • Tasting Stations with high-calorie snacks to introduce nutrient-rich food options.
  • BIA (Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis) and Weight Measurements to assess nutritional status.
  • Lectures on Malnutrition covering causes, prevention, and management.
  • Distribution of Informational Materials to promote awareness and provide practical guidance on nutrition.
  • Live Broadcast of the Cooking Webinar: Stream the “Delicious & High-Calorie – Simple Recipes for More Energy” cookinar in group settings, allowing patients and staff to engage in real-time culinary demonstrations and gain practical tips for high-energy meals.

Support for Organizers

The Malnutrition Awareness Week (MAW) team is offering free media kits to support participating facilities. These kits include informative posters, brochures, and digital materials, available for order on www.mangelernährung-bekämpfen.de.
