Turkey’s Malnutrition Awareness Week 2025: “Let’s Gather Against Malnutrition”
Dates: November 1–7, 2025
Turkey joins the European Nutrition for Health Alliance (ENHA) and ONCA in marking Malnutrition Awareness Week 2025 under the national theme: “Let’s Gather Against Malnutrition.”
Led by the Turkish Society for Clinical Enteral and Parenteral Nutrition (KEPAN), the 2025 campaign will bring together clinicians, policymakers, and nutrition professionals to strengthen awareness and practical action against disease-related malnutrition across healthcare settings.
National Focus and Collaboration
Turkey’s MAW 2025 campaign focuses on uniting scientific expertise, clinical training, and policy dialogue to improve nutrition care and ensure every patient receives appropriate nutritional support.
Through a series of educational activities, awareness materials, and stakeholder meetings, KEPAN continues to build a strong national platform aligned with the European goal of Optimal Nutritional Care for All.
Planned Activities Across the Week
The campaign will run nationwide from November 1–7, 2025, featuring both professional and public-focused initiatives:

November 1 – Izmir:
Launch of LLLL Courses (Life-Long Learning Lectures in Clinical Nutrition) covering six key topics, providing healthcare professionals with hands-on, evidence-based education in nutritional care. -
Awareness Materials:
Distribution of leaflets and ESPEN fact sheets in Turkish, designed to increase understanding of disease-related malnutrition among both professionals and the public. -
KEPAN Webinar:
A national webinar titled “The Importance of Increasing the Number of Nutrition Support Teams”, focusing on practical strategies for strengthening hospital nutrition care structures and improving interdisciplinary collaboration. -
Ministry of Health & KEPAN Joint Meeting:
A high-level discussion aimed at resolving regulatory challenges, specifically addressing the involvement of dietitians in nutrition industry launch meetings to ensure fair representation, ethics, and scientific collaboration in the nutrition field.
