NutritionDay will take place worldwide on Thursday 9 November 2023 with the title:

NutritionDay Worldwide 2023: Together For Better Nutritional Care

The program involves filling out questionnaires about the dietary intake of patients in a single clinic, hospital, long-term care unit, or outpatients and following them for one month (in hospitals) or 6 months (in primary care). Participation in nDay is free, while the information recorded is strictly anonymous to protect patients’ personal data.

Participating institutions, if they submit the data they collected on the nDay platform, will receive a complete report for their hospital and have the possibility of obtaining a certificate of participation, under the following conditions:

1. A minimum of 8 patients per unit must be included in the evaluation (this is also the minimum number required to participate in the program).
2. At least 60% of the inpatients in the unit must be included in the assessment.
3. At least 80% of patients who participated in nutritionDay must be included in the outcome assessment 30 days after nDay.

nDay is a unique opportunity to monitor and benchmark the nutritional care of institutions at an international level. The report and certification that the institution receives after the end of the process is the best practical proof of the interest and vigilance of the institutions and those responsible for nutrition in the hospital, for the continuous improvement of the services provided and ensuring the well-being of the patients.
