Monday July 15, 2019 a webinar took place on patient involvement in clinical nutrition guidelines and lay-versions. The webinar was organized as part of the activities of the European Patients’ Forum (EPF) Clinical Nutrition Task Force. You can find the video to the webinar below.
There were two presenters during the webinar:
- Professor Stephan Bischoff spoke about ‘The importance, benefit and value of patient involvement in clinical nutrition guideline development’, he is from the European Society for Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism (ESPEN)
- Isabelle Manneh shared her knowledge about ‘Good nutrition during and after cancer treatment’ and the involvement of the European Cancer Patient Coalition (ECPC) in lay-versions of cancer treatment guidelines. Isabelle Manned is senior policy officer at ECPC.
The webinar was closed with a Q&A session. Further messages from EPF will follow about the actual demand for patient representatives in working with ESPEN on new disease-specific nutrition guidelines as well as lay-versions of already developed guidelines.
