In this new era of COVID-19, their nutritional status is getting worse, and a political commitment is urgent. A “Clinical Standard for Home Enteral & Parenteral Nutrition Implementation” from the Ministry of Health is already approved and ready to be launched, but it still hasn’t been published.
Portuguese outpatients deserve to benefit from the best and most effective nutritional treatment available. A media relations campaign started in May and is still ongoing with some TV appearances pending.
