Activities

The event was inaugurated by Mr. Juergen Foeking, host and deputy director of the European Parliament Office in Spain, by Mr. Miguel León, president of the Másnutridos Alliance and Mr. Olle Ljungqvist, president of the European Nutrition for Health Alliance (ENHA).

The conference Why is it necessary to make malnutrition visible? was given by Ms. Álvarez, president of SENPE.

There were two discussion tables:

• The first table: Vision and management in Europe of the DRE, was moderated by Ms. Cuerda, endocrinologist at the Gregorio Marañón General University Hospital and General Secretary of ESPEN and had the participation of Mr. Olle Ljungqvist, president of ENHA, Mr. Rocco Barazzoni ( live connection), president of ESPEN and Ms. Margarita de la Pisa, MEP Group of European Conservatives and Reformists who participated through a video.
• The second table: Situation and needs of DRE management in Spain, was moderated by Ms. Rosa Burgos, coordinator of the Nutritional Support Unit of the endocrinology and nutrition service of the Vall d’Hebron Hospital and had the participation of Ms. Marta Marbán de Frutos, of the Popular Parliamentary Group of the Madrid Assembly, Mr. Pablo Pérez, specialist in internal medicine at the Reina Sofía University Hospital, Mr. Pablo Suárez, endocrinologist at the Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria University Hospital and Mr. Manuel Arellano, vice president of the Platform of Patient Organizations.
