Europe Unites for Malnutrition Awareness Weeks:
From Awareness to Control
This November, Malnutrition Awareness Weeks 2024 will take place across 16 European countries under the theme: “From Awareness to Control.” Hundreds of activities will be organized to bring malnutrition and optimal nutritional care to the forefront of political discussions.
Stakeholders from across Europe—including patients, healthcare professionals, policymakers, and decision-makers—will unite during this year’s campaign. The objective is to raise public awareness of the critical issue of malnutrition and advocate for equal access to nutritional care for all European citizens.
“Malnutrition is a crisis affecting millions across Europe. The Malnutrition Awareness Weeks aim not just to raise awareness, but to drive real action. Every citizen deserves access to the nutritional care they need to lead a healthy life, and it’s time we make that a reality.”
Malnutrition Awareness Weeks 2024 is part of ENHA’s pan-European Optimal Nutritional Care for All (ONCA) Campaign. The event is gaining widespread support from professional societies such as ESPEN (European Society for Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism) and EFAD (European Federation of the Associations of Dietitians).
The European Nutrition for Health Alliance proudly coordinates Malnutrition Awareness Weeks 2024, as we believe it is essential that all European citizens have access to optimal nutritional care.
